Advanced smart products can provide services and additional value already during their transport for different actors in the supply chain. The logistics hubs can invite the smart products to attach to their private networks and request tailored services from them. This requires seamless public-private network mobility that can be achieved with the eSIM-based operator profile switching.
To evaluate the practical feasibility of the eSIM-based network mobility and service adaptation, a concept demo is built in the VTT laboratory. In the demo, we successfully emulate the consumer eSIM functionalities also for the IoT devices.
